This cultural event will present a glimpse at the beauty of Indian culture through regional dances, colorful costumes, and delicious aromatic Indian food. The evening will end with a special Bollywood dance performance, highlighted with Day-Glow lighting, and feature all the performers of the evening.
There will be special dance performances by AuroTejas Hemsell, Krithika Prushant, Shreya Krishnon, and Shakti Dance Troop. An Indian Dance workshop led by AuroTejas Hemsell will be held the morning of the event at SunWater Spa, featuring a specially choreographed dance by AuroTejas. The students will have the option of performing the dance at the event with Kat, AuroTejas, and the rest of the Indian dance performers.
Pollinate is a biennial arts collaboration convening arts organizations in Southern Colorado to explore one compelling theme through exhibitions, events, and experiences every two years. In 2019, the theme is time. Pollinate promises to connect audiences in the region to our past and future, demonstrating the power of the arts in collaboration through a one-week festival of events April 1—8, 2019 across the Pikes Peak region. Programs will take place from mid-March to mid-May. Events include themed exhibitions, live music, and dance performances, panel discussions, mash-up talks, film screenings, significant speakers, and more.
